Welcome to Advent 2024, Hillvue!  During this season, we focus our attention on the central truth that sets Christianity apart from every religious system in the world:  in Jesus, God came for us.  God knew that we had fallen short of His standard, separated ourselves from Him by sin, and earned for ourselves an eternity of sin’s punishment in Hell.  But because of His great love for us, God sent His Only Begotten Son to rescue us. 

The message of Advent is the message of John 3:16--"For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life."
